The story behind the design
Clear water. Deep history. One trip was never going to be enough.
The Red Sea can feel almost unreal. Liveaboard routes from Hurghada and Marsa Alam carry divers over remarkably clear water, steep reef walls and blue-water encounters with scalloped hammerheads and oceanic whitetips.
Longimanus are confident visitors. They have been known to come close enough to make every diver suddenly reconsider the meaning of personal space.
We also learned that not all liveaboard meals are created equal. DUNE Silky delivered extraordinary service and four-course meals plated and served in front of us. Not a buffet. We loved our dives aboard M/Y Ocean Lovers too. Excellent diving, excellent memories and one unfair problem: DUNE Silky remains the galley benchmark. Someone had to say it.
Back on land, Egypt offers another kind of depth. Tombs, temples and museums tell stories of gods, kings and queens through a visual language that has survived for thousands of years. The design draws from that world through the falcon, ankhs, solar forms and hieroglyphic composition, bringing ancient history and Red Sea diving into the same frame.
Not every symbol is intended as an archaeological reconstruction. Our hammerhead has four eyes. It sees more that way.
From Sharm el-Sheikh and Dahab to Red Sea wrecks and the submerged history around Alexandria, Egypt refuses to fit neatly into a single itinerary.
Good luck trying to finish it.
